About Me:
My name is Sandi Konot. This is my seventh year teaching at Groveport Junior High. I have a bachelor's degree in Special Education (K-12) and Elementary Education (1-8) from Capital University. I also have a Master's Degree in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College.
I love to travel! This past summer I went on a Coast to Coast Adventure. I traveled from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean by car in two weeks. It was an absolutely wonderful experience and I was fortunate to do a lot of fantastic activities and see a ton of wonderful sites along the way. I also traveled to the Bahamas in June and was able to swim one on one with dolphins! Swimming with the dolphins was one of the best days of my life!
I am married and have two wonderful black labs (Coal and Raven) who are my babies. I also really love to read. Ohio State football and NASCAR racing are my favorite sports.
About science class:
Science Rocks!! This year we will be learning about various topics within Earth and space sciences, life sciences, physical sciences, and science technology. Throughout each unit, we will focus on using the Scientific Method and exploring historical science discoveries. We will be reading from textbooks and a variety of other resources. Be prepared to do laboratory experiments and out of school projects.
